what i learned

is that it's alright to acknowledge a problem before you have a solution.

also, you learn more by not knowing. when discussing things with people, in situations where you don't feel an obligation to prove yourself, don't pretend to know anything at all. farm the knowledge and opinion of others without them knowing your hand. evaluate it privately, merge it as you wish with your own knowledge privately. if your intention is to harvest new knowledge, why clutter their thoughts with your opinion? in that scenario it doesn't matter. no decisions are getting made. nothing is going to change based on what you think about their take. relax. shut up. listen.
